Technique: Acrylic and Oil Pastel
Sophie Paquet was born in Sherbrooke in
1963. From an early age, she is strongly attracted by
the arts community, a passion that is transmitted to her
by her father, who was an architect decorator and a
great art lover.
This initial contact having made its way, the young
woman decided to enroll in visual arts at Cégep de
Ste-Foy.
She will then complete her visual arts training at Laval
University.
With a degree in hand, she decided to perfect her
knowledge by pursuing studies in graphic design.
Here many knowledge in the field of visual arts led him
very early to find his favorite mediums, which are
acrylic and oil pastel.
Here style is clearly instinctive and spontaneous.
The artist takes great pleasure in indulging in the
creativity of the moment and being transported to a
world of abounding colors.
With energy and dynamism, the passion of the creation is
felt with each stroke of the brush and the enthusiastic
movements make the flowers dance with radiance and joie
de vivre.
Although very spontaneous, the works of Sophie Paquet
are the fruit of a long research where the direction of
the composition and the balance of the motives are
omnipresent.
Through his paintings, we definitely feel his love for
art and creation that is communicated by a fresh light,
filled with a youth in a constant renewal.
