Yvon St-Aubin, originaire de Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Yvon St-Aubin est un artiste peintre autodidacte. Musicien de formation, il vit aujourd'hui de sa passion, la peinture. Peintre aux couleurs éclatées et aux lumières vives, sa peinture reflète sa sensibilité et l'émotion que l'on ressent devant ces paysages impressionnants. Il a fait son apprentissage dans différents coins du Québec et plus particulièrement dans Charlevoix. C'est lors d’un séjour en Provence dans les pas de son idole Van Gogh qui fut l'élément déclencheur de cette explosion de couleur. Depuis il sillonne le Canada pour transposer sur ses toiles toute les vibrations et l'énergie des paysages qu'il côtoie.

Les rayons de lumière qui traversent ses tableaux caractérisent son œuvre et constituent aujourd'hui sa marque de commerce. St-Aubin a su développer un style unique très apprécié autant du grand public que des collectionneurs.

Nommé peintre de l'année de Charlevoix en 2002, il expose en permanence dans plusieurs galeries du Québec et du Canada. Également, il a été nommé président d'honneur de symposiums de peinture au Québec et au Nouveau Brunswick. Plusieurs grandes corporations privées et publiques possèdent un St-Aubin et ses œuvres sont distribuées au Canada et aux États-Unis. Nombre de ses tableaux se retrouvent à l'étranger soit en Australie, en Europe et en Asie.

St-Aubin est répertorié au Musée des Beaux-Arts de Montréal et d'Ottawa.

Yvon St-Aubin, originally from Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Yvon St-Aubin is a self-taught painter. A musician by training, he now makes a living from his passion, painting. Painter with vibrant colors and bright lights, his painting reflects his sensitivity and the emotion that one feels in front of these impressive landscapes. If he did his apprenticeship in different corners of Quebec and more particularly Charlevoix, it was a stay in Provence in the footsteps of his idol Van Gogh that was the trigger for this explosion of color. Since then, he has traveled across Canada to transpose on his paintings all the vibrations and energy of the landscapes he rubs shoulders with.

The rays of light that pass through his paintings characterize his work and today constitute his trademark. St-Aubin has developed a unique style that is highly appreciated by the general public as well as by collectors.

Named Charlevoix Painter of the Year in 2002, he exhibits permanently in several galleries in Quebec and Canada. He was also named honorary president of painting symposia in Quebec and New Brunswick. Several large private and public corporations own a St-Aubin and its works are distributed in Canada and the United States. Many of his paintings are found abroad, in Australia, Europe and Asia.

St-Aubin is listed at the Montreal and Ottawa Museum of Fine Arts.
