Thérèse Sauvageau (December 28, 1915, in Grondines in the province of Quebec in Canada) is a teacher, painter and writer from Quebec. Death on December 3, 2012 (at age 96)

Thérèse Sauvageau was a teacher for 36 years. When she retires, she devotes herself to writing and painting. His stories are based on oral tradition, conversations with elderly people, and extensive research in archives.

In 1969, after a visit to a painting class, she began to paint. She painted 97 paintings depicting scenes from the life of rural Quebec from the 1850s to the 1950s. They are accompanied by an explanatory text. She still continues to paint.

In 2008, all of his work was bequeathed to the Musée de la civilization of Quebec City1.

Her stories and paintings are grouped in three volumes published by Anne Sigier Editions and are distributed in Canada, France, Belgium and Switzerland.
